Well its been 2 weeks since my AH has went to county jail, still waiting on a bed for rehab.

I can honestly say it has been easier. I am doing for myself, making choices for myself and not looking for approval from no one.  I have not be able to go to F2F mtg because of school. But I did start going back to church and doing things for me. I do miss my AH and I hope and pray that he gets the help he needs and that he finds himself.

I do have a positive outlook on this...in the beginning I was crushed that he was going to have to serve 9 mos. Didn't know how I was gonna function. But over time and help form my HP I am functioning, I am my own person. Yes I do have bad days, but I do have good days.

When I talk to my AH on the phone, he does act upset because I am doing things and going places instead of sitting home. Well I tell him my thoughts on it and that right now he has no control over what I do. I have been standing my ground and being me. Well since I have been doing that his attitude has changed greatly.

I am thankful for this site and everyone here. And I am thankful for my HP.

JManning

Your strength is inspiring. I am awaiting my husband's court date anxiously, although we are separated, I still reply on him so much. I appreciate your post.

Great work JM...doing different than what never worked before is about change and that is what you're doing.  The recovery rooms give you much more of it.   (((hugs))) smile
