cruise went well...but car trouble!

I gotta tell ya we almost didn't make it to the cruise on Saturday! My mom's car had some very serious car trouble! We had to travel over 60 miles just to get there & then we had to go up a couple of steep hills. Our HP was w/ us as we made it there & back!

We also have great program friends who followed us home! Thank God for the program & caring people who love us & watch out for us.

About the cruise: The speakers were great & the whole experience was really inspiring & touching. I even didn't mind my mom being there--I was dealing w/ the issues I almost always get into when it comes to my mom. I guess I can't say it is her fault for the car trouble just because we went in her car! Ha! Ha!

I am still grateful as days go by! God is good; I chose to call HIM God as that is the name I use when I think of the CREATOR. I am blessed beyond belief. My AH is doing very well. He will have 5 years in October. I guess it isn't quite time to celebrate but I am hoping... He will do well I think because he is very serious about the program. Me too. I haven't always been that way but today I can say: I am in it to win it!

Not much more to add today. I am very happy & have a pretty good level of serenity.

Kathleen

Thanks for the good news! I'm glad you all had a great time.

How about celebrating your husband's sobriety every day? Every day an alcoholic is sober/working a program to the best of his/her ability is cause to celebrate (in my opinion).

Take good care, Gail

Awww Kathleen :)

What wonderful memories with your mom. My Mom and I were talking about my Grandma and I started telling some stories of things that have happened in the past that no one else would find funny. They were .. lol .. kind of had to be there kind of deals. My mom had forgotten them and we had a good laugh over the ones I did remember.

Hugs P :)

I am just so glad you had a great time and made it there safely.  Would you be so kind to PM me the speakers or the name of the cruise because I am always looking for awesome speaker recommendations to listen to.

Best,

Tommye
