to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
That is such an interesting statement and it can provoke powerful responses, especially if married, how can that not be my business that is my life partner!!?
Tonight at our meeting someone shared something that I thought was amazing, what not my business means, it's not rude or meant in that way, my alanon friend shared it as what can we control.
It made so much sense how my alanon friend shared it. Can I control how someone what someone else thinks of me? Nope. Can I control what my spouse, sig other does? Nope.
Not my business has now turned into for me, keeping the focus on myself. My business is what I can control which is .. how I handle my own situations.
For whatever reason that was a powerful share for me tonigh and I am so grateful my alanon friend brought that to me in that way. It was just what I needed to hear.
Thank you alanon friend, and thank you alanon for allowing me to continue to heal in the ways that I need. :)

This topic has saved my butt too because I no longer need to use my time and energy on people places and things that were none of my business.
What it means for me today is to keep the focus on myself. I could not believe how much time I had on my hands when I minded my own business. Keeping the focus on myself is the safest place for me today.
Thanks for Your Share, It is Very true what your Friend Said.... I too at one time found it rude & unsettling to me to Think "How can it Not be My Business" but once I Grasp it, WOW... I still have moments of Weakness that I catch myself Resorting back to the Ignorance I once was, but This Program is about Progress not Profection, and I Love that... Always Leaves me Room to Grow...
