I hardly ever do this!

I am handing over all my frustrations to my HP, who can better handle my worries than I. I am turning off the computer and taking a looong hoooot soak in the tub and won't be back for a looong time! I am working on relaxation and self care tonight and am going to embrace it fully! I hope everyone is doing well on their own recovery journey's and I am sending you all love, courage and strength on your path!

Deb,
I get it some times I wish putting myself and my needs first came more naturally. I am just slowing down work wise and have decided each night I am going to take the time to do something pampering for me, like a pedicure, a hot soak in the tub, going to bed early with a good book, and I am noticing things aren't getting to me as much lately. I feel like I have grown so much with all that I have learned through my face to face meetings nad working the steps with my sponsor and this Winter I really want to put it to good use.

BF,

Good to hear from you. With practice, taking care of yourself will become more automatice. Give it time. It's all a process, not an event.

You know I could totally relate to working on relaxing.  For me I was last on the list every time.  Alanon taught me the concept of self care and how important it was to put myself above others.

I do so hope you had a relaxing hot bath and beautiful end to your evening.  My HP that I have discovered in the program stays up all night with my problems so I don't have to.

Blessings,

Tommye
