This just tickles me

Many of you know that I just love to laugh.  For me laughter is the best medicine.  I came across this quote yesterday that just set me off.  It is:

Regardless of what other people say, my tendency to overreact and lose ALL perspective makes me a THEATRICALLY interesting person.

Gosh, that really tickles my funny bone because I was that person.  Thank God for the alanon program because I have gained a new perspective on my life, loved ones, and self one day at a time.

I love you guys. Thanks for letting me share :)

Tommye

LOL! We have to laugh at ourselves :) One time in my life when every thing was dramatic, someone said "I love to hear your stories, its like a soap opera!" LOL!

I have to share this please forgive me if it's not suppose to work this way,

Probably about a month ago, I rekindled a relationship with one of my best friends in the world. She's probably more of a mother to me on a lot of levels. So I was catching her up on what had been going on. It had been a good 6 months worth of crap and pretty much it was me and where I was/am at. She's a sister in alanon, she understands like no other.

Now this is how warped I am and truthfully, if I ever took my act on the road I don't know that 90% of others would get why I would be laughing however it was what we both needed in that moment. OMG .. I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard and once I get going I'm extremely animated in storytelling, it's a whole body exercise for me.

We were both hollering laughing I mean that side splitting have to pee your pants laughing and every time I could get a hold of myself it was always followed with "WAIT!!! There's MORE!" Which would send us off in peels of laughter all over again. By this time neither of us can move we are both crying from laughing so hard and she's trying to get out "WHY ARE WE LAUGHING THIS ISN"T FUNNY!!" To which we were literally on the floor, I'm trying to crawl to the bathroom because I really do have to pee, again tears flowing down my face going "I KNOW!!! WAIT THERE"S MORE!!" To which she responds "THERE CAN"T BE!!" Me, "OHHH BUT THERE IS!" I have NO idea how I made it to the bathroom I did, we were still laughing.

It was probably 2 hours we spent like this and I haven't laughed like that in YEARS!! It was really me and my reactions to the insane stuff I had been doing and the insanity that had been going on. If someone had walked in I'm sure they would have thought we were either drunk or high because neither one of us could speak forget about getting a word out that was coherent. She's just one of those people in my life I don't have to complete a sentence because she knows me so well she already knows what's coming next out of my mouth.

That statement says it all as to what that moment in time was like for me, I was so happy to be talking to her, so happy to be just getting all this garbage out and looking at it and going OMG .. how important is this really?? It's not. Then taking that and just turning into something a lot more positive. Ahhh .. there is something to be said about the theatrics in me .. LOL!! :)

Tommy:

I love it! I enjoy a good laugh myself. Sometimes I watch "I Love Lucy" just to get a good old fashion laugh.

Pushka had me laughing too with her story. Hey, all work and no fun makes life dull.

Thanks for sharing.
