Dinner Time for My Soul

Ok, there I was, reading Hawaiilover's post about the horrible meeting, mentally chewing on the words, thinking if there was any way I could relate, show support, or whatnot; meanwhile scrolling down through the responses sifting through the gems to see if there was one that shone bright for my situation. . .

And WHAM! It hit me.  Debilyn's words hit me, to be precise.

So what have you done to feed your soul?

Um, nothing. . . Nothing recent, nothing in a long while.

That settled it.  I haven't taken a vacation in, well, at least ten years.  I'm not talking about a weekend drive to the mountains (I LOVE the mountains).  I mean a REAL vacation.   The last time I tried, it all went horribly, tragically wrong and turned into a verbal slugfest between my A and myself.  Plans were cancelled, and chaos reigned.

I've got the time.  I've got the money.  The only thing I'm lacking is an excuse not to.

Thanks, Hawaiilover and Debilyn.  It's done, and I'm taking some much needed time to feed my soul, find some awe-inspiring, breathtaking, divinely inspired natural beauty, and find myself.  I leave next week, and Ill be back the beginning of September.  I'm not even going to feel guilty about it.

Thanks for the idea!

-Brian

come to one of the natural wonders of the world... Kakadu in Arnhem Land.. I can give you a room for a while.

Only joking.... (partly)... I know your country has some amazing places.  Any country that gave birth to Elvis must be cool

Good for you! Yes, I like how Deb approached the subject also. I love the beach and that is where I find serenity. Love to watch nature. Love to get a monthly massage. Love to go out dancing. Need to make these things my top priority. Enjoy yourself!   Hawaii
