In a good way, I'm taking a huge leap of faith and I'm going to ask someone at the Sunday meeting to be my sponsor. I really like their shares and they weren't even on my list, then I had an epithany (thanks to a newer member God love them) and big giant DUH moment for me. There's a reason I have been waiting and this really feels right.
I'm nervous because my ego doesn't think it can stand another rejection at the same time, nervous because good grief what if they say yes?! So wish me luck. I'm voting for having it be a yes, it's the emotional risk I dread.

Good for you , if No is the answer you get please dont take it personally , sometimes a person dosent feel worthy of being a sponsor other times there is just too much going on in thier lives to take on the responsibilty for a newcommer. I am hoping for a positive response . good luck Louise
Thats great Pushka :) I felt the same way and when I asked, it worked out just right :) Last night I had dinner with my sponsor and we had a great time :) I was worried too, and so the way I asked her was: Will you sponsor me? I really like your shares and your insights when we talk privately. If you can't right now, I understand, we can just keep things the way they are. And she said "Yes, I will sponsor you, I am in the middle of the steps, but sponsoring you will help me get moving on me steps!" So thats how it went for me :) Keep coming! Good luck on Sunday!

Awesome and I know the fear of rejection, but don't let it hold you back or the what if's. You never know what is going on in other peoples lives, but you will never know if you don't push out of your comfort zone. Sending you courage and love!
