to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
My books are on order, Courage to Change, One Day at a Time and Getting them Sober. They are due to arrive next Monday.
My 2nd ever meeting is tonight and I am looking forward to it. The Afiance and I had a pretty good week. I am not sure if he actually drank on Monday or really went to dinner and the AA meeting with a buddy like he said. Either way, I am learning that's not my business. I had the house to myself, watched and ate what I wanted and went to bed when I wanted.
Just wanted to thank everyone here for getting me through the days (and sometimes evenings). I appreciate all the ESH I have received so far.
It's a great idea getting the books. It is evident you want what the program offers. Isn't it amazing how little changes in us can make our life better. After 20 days in the program, and working your program, you are seeing those changes. Many times the alcoholic's in our lives also see those changes, and like what they see.
Keep doing what your doing, trusting the program, working the program, reading the literature, and going to your f2f meetings. That's my ES&H for you. It's what worked for me. It's proven and tested. The opposite never worked.
It's such a simple program......for complicated people.
My favorite reading out of the ODAAT is July 1st. It hit me right between the eyes. I am so glad you are getting the literature. I love all of the books you listed.

Thank you all! It's still amazing to me that there are all these people out there that are going through exactly what I am. I am RELIEVED to have found this board and everything that goes along with it. Books are due to arrive Monday.
