I just wanted to share that my AH just had his one year sober "birthday" this weekend. Our 15 year old son and I went with him to the AA birthday meeting, and it was truly inspiring. All three of us cried. There were people there with from 1 year to 35 years of sobriety, and each got their coin and spoke for a few minutes.
Mind you, this last year has not been easy. Sobriety doesn't all the sudden solve all your problems, even though we want to believe it will. But Al-anon and the attitude changes I have learned from it have made me a saner, healthier person. And I can now see a future ahead of us that is full of possibilities. So never lose hope and continue to work on yourselves.
Hugs and congrats all the way around :) Thank you so very much with for your share!! :)
P :)

Cloudsea, Thank you for sharing. Just hearing that the A's in our lives can actually make it a year sober is a wonderful thing. It fills me with hope. I hope you and your family have another year of sobriety and happiness.
