I have had cats all my life. I have often felt that animals hone in on our emotions. Perhaps if you turn your attention to things that bring you joy, the animal may gradually come out of its hiding place.

It is just a theory. Take what you like, leave the rest.

Usually when a cat acts like this they are in pain. Something is wrong.

Have you checked her all over? If you press anywhere does she complain, take temp. should be 101-102. Does she feel hot anywhere?

check mouth for something stuck in there, are her gums nice and pink? Is her breath ok?

Are her eyes clear?Weepy? has she had all her vacs, is she spayed? wormed her?

check inside her eyelids are they yellowish at all.

I would get her inside in a room or clothset, litter box food and water. Myself I would go get some chicken and boil it for her. Mush it up and give it to her.

She may have gotten into something. Even eating a spider can make them sick.

When cats finally let you know they are sick, its usually serious.

Please pm me if you like. We have to get her eating and or drinking so her organs don't shut down!

Deat Hoot Nanny, listen to Debilyn. She is our resident cat whisperer.

I have also dealt with lots of cats, and she is right. When they show you something is wrong--something is wrong. Cats are very stoic that way. If I were in your shoes, I would heed her advice, and, if it is at all possible to get her to a vet---I would do it.

Please let us know how it goes. We animal people tend to worry.

I just have a life of experience with cats and other animals. Plus one of my best friends is a vet. All my life my vets taught me how to do things myself. all this vets kids grew up with me and my brothers.

The thing is hoot, is she is dehydrated, she needs water. You get a syringe and put it carefully in the sides of her mouth. Do this with chicken broth too.

If she absolutely won't do it, they you have to carefull introduce water in her bum. The intestine is the best organ to absorb fluids.

Oh I forgot, eggs are the perfect food. you get a syringe take the needle off. this is how you carefully put food/water etc in the side of her mouth. to do it in front can cause them to aspirate it.

If you go to the vet, they will check all I told you, probably want to do a blood test. They may want to put her on IV's or give her some anti biotics.

Also take her skin and sorta pull it out and see if it goes right back. If if does not, she is dehydrated.

Gads I hate it when animals are in trouble. ugh.
