Al-anon has changed me so much

Recently I had a client try to blackmail me to get a good sum of money out of me. Legally they were not entitled to the money via the contract we have, so they used other pressure tactics to get me to give it to them.

In the past I would have been irate and started the whole agressive approach.  It would have been a nightmare.  When receiving the email from the person trying to blackmail me, I did not react immediately.  I took a day and thought about it.  I reviewed the documents and looked at it form several angles.

I was quite upset with how manipulative the person was being, but my upset didn't determine my reaction.

I sent back a well thought out email that I am confident will end the issue right away. Without this program things would have looked much different with this situation as with many others.

Thanks Al-anon.

Hi Clep

Great recovery  I too found that the changes were very subtle.   I did not know they had happened, UNTIL like you,  I saw myself acting and responding diferently to a situation that normally would have had me off the wall.

Wonderful post  Thanks
