information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal

When I actually apply what I am learning and use it in all my affairs, I can see how much better I am getting. I am about to ask someone to sponsor me...I am so nervous but so excited to move on and move forward.
At work, I am at the front desk. Someone above me asked me a few weeks ago if I would be interested in a position that might come open. I said yes, but didn't think anything of it really. Well today, that position came open and the manager of that department asked me if I was interested. !!!! I was flattered that I was thought of and I am not getting my hopes up, but I am being positive, that I can get the position if I want it. Its part time compared to my full time hours now, however, they said that I would pretty much take home in pay in that part time position what I make now working full time! I would be able to have more hours for my photography (which is blooming now and people want photographs taken!) and have time for me, and for more meetings.
Each day is a new day, I am learning in alanon that though it may be a winding road, there can be some interesting and positive things along the way. I don't have to dwell on yesterdays sorrow or tomorrow's worry. I can live in today :) Thanks all! It works when we work it :)

I love this post, and love the analogy of the winding road..... I tend to say that "recovery is seldom a straight line", but I think the winding road is much better.... our logic thinks everything will progress from "a to b", but of course, it doesn't always work that way....
Good for you on the work stuff - sounds very promising, not only to be recognized and appreciated for the good job you are doing, but also the possibility of opening up more time for you!!!
