Love the pics Debilyn :)

I love the line in Young Frankenstein where the Dr is asking Igor what was the name of the brain that they put in the monster and Igor replies, Abby, Abby Normal .. lol .. that sums it up for me.

I would say keeping me sane is staying grounded anyway I can, which means my kids and lots and lots of reading/writing. I'm going to throw some other things in the mix when the weather cools down.

Thinking program, turning it over and asking HP for guidance, which allows me to carry my worries and problems in my pocket........with a hole in it !! Using the program to stay focused with HP leading interference........It's simple.

But the problems, worries, and stress come when RLC fails to follow the above !!

HUGS

Ya I kinda like my loved ones.

I got spitfire stinkpot stinker kitten some little fake mice to play with. of course Pop Pop the brainless dog takes off with one, found one on the deck. I see stink playing and thought oh good finally she is enjoying her toys! she had a grape......

Debilyn,

I adore your pictures especially of the animals and pics of your part of the country.

What brings me peace and sanity comes from many things.  Slowing down, being in the outdoors, gardening, sitting on my couch and reading with my cats sitting next to me.  My first cup of coffee at 6 AM in a quite household before everyone wakes up.   Going to meetings, working the steps, and helping others.  Physical exercise and playing with my children, tickling them until they snort.  I think what levels my wings is almost a combination of gratitude, joy, and renewing a spiritual connection with my HP on a daily basis.

I find tremendous peace and serenity by going to a step 11 & 12 open AA meeting on Sunday morning.  One person shared the following in the meeting last week which brought the house down.   "I am a spiritual giant in nature and working with animals.  It's easy to deal with a squirrel.  It's you people that F*** with me. "

Thanks for the pics, and the topic.  Keep them coming.

xoxo, tommye

you are are such an inspiration to me!

Sometimes I hear my friend say,"Just do something normal." So I did the dishes and/or mopped the floor, and oh yes, went outside and took a nap cuddle with my 1,000 poud pig, estersue.

Love, debilyn cutting holes in all RLC's pockets and passing scissors out to everyone!

Hey Deb - wanna come adopt the dogs next door? they've been barking for 4 hours straight - I turn tv up to drown them out but .......

What keeps me sane is work. Always bills to pay, never enough money and paying work come first, then the druggery of housework/yard work has to be done; my hands hurt from pulling grass and weeds that grow where i don't want it to grow (why is it so hard to grow grass where you want it?).

but I'm serious about the dogs - I'd give them to you .... no one's home, they wouldn't know......

My sanity comes from keeping the focus on me and not the A in my life. I stay in school every semester and learn different things to stimulate my mind and to stay current in different fields. Reading is one of my hobbies and I read daily. Going to meetings keeps me connected to my spiritual growth in Alanon. Church keeps me connected to my HP that I called God. Like you, I have a loving/caring family that supports me in all aspects of my life. My husband loves me. I consider myself very, very blessed.  Thanks for the topic.

What keeps me sane? This place, for one thing. My friends(including some I've met through here), my animals, my garden. And my HP.

Wow it's so great to hear all these shares!

And yes I pm'ed likemyheart about the dogs....geez

Pushka that is one of my favorite movies lol

You all shared that the simplest things keep you sane. It wasn't a fancy car, a lot of money, vacations, a huge home.

Did you see that! maybe we are blessed in so many ways. We came to realise what keeps us centered and it is things we can attain so easily. Not any big secret or anything.

What an inspiration you all share...

Well you know I keep centered by looking at slugs, but is that sane?? haha love, deb
