I heard at a meeting "God bless my dr. and fill her with your love" for the last few days I've been saying this prayer for my A/A dr. I heard from my son and sis that she spent 4 days in jail for making threats to her condo mgr. and has to be moved by the !st. she has section 8, don't know if she is losing it. I'm expecting her to call me for help, I'm praying for the courage to say "no" and stick to it. It should be easy if I remember the last time she conned me out of $360.00, she has such a sad story for needing the money, she promised with all her mite to repay me as soon as her check arrived and I haven't heard a word from her about it and that was 3 months ago. I know it will be hard for me to see her homeless, I'm refusing to co-sign for her, if she asks me, she conned me out of $1600.00 to get into this condo, I did it because of the kids, she doesn't have her kids now, her 7 y.o. is with her dad. and I've the 16y.o. son. I've been enabling her for almost a yr. by letting her keep her sons ssi check he gets for delayed learning ability. I just haven't had the courage to do anything about it, "she said mommy that is the only income I have" her thinking is really impaired, mine is to for not doing anything about it for all this time I didn't want her to make him come home to her dysfunction lifestyle, she would always say he could come home. For all who pray to our HP (God) please say a prayer for us for God"s perfect plan/outcome for us.
Prayers of course!! Ruby...Get into the program with both feet and discover what your part is in the problem and how to find solutions. A good sponsor is gold in situations like this however if you remain in rescue mode for whatever justification you give it, than not even God has a perfect plan other than more pain causing everyone to STOP!! the insanity because it's just to much to keep on with. Rationally your grandson's ssi payment is not her income and I know tho how that works in this cunning, powerful and baffling disease. Alcoholics and addicts will lie, cheat and steal to get a fix and stay out of the withdrawal pain. Keep coming back (((((hugs)))))
