...I having a sponsor! This is the first time I've called her since she agreed to be my sponsor. I was still so hesitant to call. Why would she have the time to talk to me? She did. She had the time. She answered my called and listened and shared.
I was able to talk to someone who has lived a life similar to mine, someone who doesn't have the answers, but who does have the experience. She has survived and thrived!
A 15 minute dose of ESH and I feel so much better. It's like a perfect cup of coffee in the morning: it just makes everything brighter.

What a great metaphor for working with a sponsor..."like a perfect cup of coffee". I like it and agree. Sponsorship is a must for those who really want to get well. (((hugs)))
My sponsor gives me a swift kick in my C A N T ' S. Just when I am looking for the softer gentler way, she gives me a dose of reality, more like a shot in the arm than a lovely cup of coffee. I just love her.
