I haven't been for a few weeks and I always get nervous. I am confident that I will learn something and it's nice to be around good people who understand.
Ahhh... life. It seems a lot scarier than it really is.
Thanks Gail. It was great of course. I'm glad I went rather than sitting around questioning everything that I do lol. Once I walk in, everything is ok again. That's the beauty of it.
The fifth tradition. Everytime I go it's a tradition or a step. I thought someone had mentioned on here that they sometimes have open topic meetings. I am going to try and go back next Monday and if it's the same deal, then I am going to ask. It's kind of hard for me to make any kind of comments on stepwork as I haven't begun yet. I do like listening to what others got out of it, but I'm not ready to start the work at this time.
Actually that particular tradition seemed to be one of the more fitting ones for me though. No matter the topic, I will still be going back.
Some meetings are just step/traditon meetings, some are open discussion, some are speaker... There are not a lot of meetings here, but there are a variety. I plan on going Wednesday night. Its open discussion :) Glad you went! :)

On Monday for my home group it is always a step or tradition meeting. Yesterday we were on step 10.
When I was new I really could not relate to the traditions. Tradition five is perfect for this board because that is what we do, help families of alcoholics through sharing experience strength and hope and making them feel welcome and wanted.
