Yet another Al Anon skill appeared out of my toolbox without telling me.

OMgosh, moving is EZ, even fun. The dealing with the world NO fun. Since March 23 I have been doing all I need to do to get satellite/internet/phone!

It has been one cluster of bolony after another! I mean sending wrong stuff, lieing about what a package includes,charging wrong, they canceled my order! So was to call Sat morn and redo it. was busy, called monday, they did my order without me and it was wrong! I finally get the equipment but they gave me an install date with the wrong company. rrrrrr

I find the right installer, they have not called back.I call the phone co. they package with, they check and tell me your account is inactive.aaaaaaH! Its finally, supposedly all correct now after being cut off over 20 times,sent to wait AGAIN.

I was told I got the right speed to watch netflix and tv online. NOT. I call them and they argue with me, or try to. ugh never the less you told me and it is all over  online I would have perfect streaming....never the less...on and on.

I got a nice gal and said ok nothing I can do, I am over it.

I mean I was over it in about oh 4 min. In the past I would not get over things for weeks months years!

Al anon skills taught me,"does it really matter?" My thing is, well no one is dead. I don't even think of being mad at this person, I tell them now i know it is not  you,its the company.

I don't "engage" in the bolony. When I vent I just say the facts.I don't cuss or yell or clobber anyone. I also hang up and don't go at it again when I feel that feeling of,OMGOSH I am losing it,.

NO I am not perfect. I am assertive,many times the person I am talking finally agrees and says i know it should not be that way.They may tell me a story, and or take a few bucks off.

Ya know how ya pick your battles? I will not talk to the mortgage co. at all. That is honestly one pit I will never crawl into again!

I just find it funny how many things I have learned from Al Anon that has changed me from a very insane, reactive person that no one would want to deal with, into the assertive old woman who people don't want to deal with becuz I know when I am right.

I mean how can they say oh it works, when I KNOW it doesn't! gads.

Like an A who says, the grass is blue and YOU know its green! So why argue?

If someone is  a butt to me, I can feel my face scrunch up in a question, and thinking gads, whats YOUR problem?I now just find it interesting. people hate that.lol

So anyway, debilyn just bumbles along,falls on her bum sometimes, gets confused,wrong sometimes.But all that matters is  ya just keep going,smile and mellow out.Nothing is really all that important to me cept pleasing HP anyway....I say in my head suck it up....

Oh Deb... you are inspirational and hilarious. Thanks for sharing:) I hope you get your phone/internet/satellite all figured out.

I had a similar dealing with my cable company about a year ago. The on demand was not working. I called, they told me it should be working. I repeated: "it's not working". They told me I was shown as paying for that package, it should be working....here's where I go in my program guide.... I repeated, It's not working, I went here, did this, went online researched that.... it is not working, this is what happens when I select it ect...

reply: "oh, well, I don't know, it should work". ..

Then, I said: "listen, it's not working, I'm not making this up cause I don't have anything better to do with my day, can you please trouble shoot this over the phone, or send out a technician".

Turns out, they forgot to check something (or something like that) in their system. They apologized.

I wonder... do they ever get customers who call with an issue, then they hear: "it should be working", then that customer says "ok, thanks then...must be me! bye".

lol

not worth losing any sleep over, that's for sure. .. well, unless I can't get my favorite show!.. just kidding.

Doesn't that just want to make you go out to the valley and yodel?   LOL and you had to bring up the Mortgage Company thingy.  I've got to make a call to WFM.  They of course promised to call me days ago and?....  God's got it and I'm ready.  (((hugs)))smile

Well installer called, called the wrong number...got my son at work.son calls me. app is for Wednesday at 10am.same time as when this truck delivers my wood.gads.

Oh my dear Betty,madness is putting it mildly! Yep I learned it all right here in MIP and a few books. Meaning the members here!

Hey all I can say is HP has a plan, I am sure of that., I think that's what makes many of us not get upset. sooo many other things more important and wonderful to think about!

That is the main reason you don't see me on tv,internet and radio. I would LOVE to bust this mortgage company and personally show what is happening to everyone.But that is not my job.

In the South we say...."Do I look like I just fell off a green load of sapling wood?"....When I look back I have fallen off quite a few. Unlike your trunip truck, "ain't" no seat belts installed yet !!

Isn't it amazing how depression can such your life. I feel different as night and day. Life is amazing and full of funny stuff! I know HP has a sense of humor!

Betty I tell my kids lookit it was not always like this! Like all this technology is sooo goood. give me a break.The only good thing to me is howwe get to meet each other all over the world.

We can share, support, send gifts, pictures,even visit each other. Then on our yahoo groups people who have special interests like pigs...can get together. That changed my life! BIG TIME. PIgnics,donations,where to go rescue a pig,ways to do meds, proper nutrition funniest stories I have ever read!

Pig people are different. If a pig is stuck in the mud with his tusk in the fence, we come home from church or a sunday meeting in our heels,nylons etc. we don't change our cloths, we are out there slipping in the mud, shoes sklipping off,mud on our cloths, beautifully done nails with mud caked in them, makeup thats over...but we freed the pig, who then starts cussing at US about how hungry he is.

Anyway....true story!

Do these kids think we are idiots?Yes I must be wrong the satellite equipment isn'there, I don't have an account, THERE IS JUST THIS FREAKING HUGE BOX TAKING UP ROOM AND HAVING TO BE MOVED OUT OF THE WAY IN MY 24 X24 CABIN!!!  lol PLUS when it was outside someone peed on it....sigh
