Thanks Debilyn for the pictures of your sweet animals. I look forward to seeing them. My days have been so difficult lately---and just seeing them reconnects me to my soul for a brief moment.
jOhhhh how sweet! I am so glad. I am sad you are having a hard time. Are you ready to post it or pm? Or did I miss it?
I am thinking I posted my page my past on mom made me on my profile? I will get it and post it for you. If you like animals, there are some great loving ones on this site. All came to Eden.
Otie I am not kidding, if I could not find a home to have my dogs and cat, I would have bought a van or rv and lived in that. The love and laughter they give is priceless. I believe they were created to remind us to play, wonder, laugh, appreciate having our wants, be uncritical and always love.
Sending you lotsa hugs, that was such a nice surprise thank you! debilyn Tavish Basset and WinaPur

"It's not so much being loved for ourselves, but more for being loved in spite of ourselves."
Dear Debilyn, thanks so much for inquiring as to my difficulty. My recent stress is actually not alcohol related but, rather, dealing with my very much changed life situation since the recent death of my husband (not A). I am moving and have run into some complicated roadblocks---the details of which are tedious and probably not exactly appropriate for this site. Might be appropriate for a courtroom, though! (lol).
I am seeing how others on this site are coping with the wretched moments in their life and it does give me comfort. I am really reaching for my higher power. I keep reminding myself that this wretched, wretched transition in my life will eventually be over. I am only two weeks on this site, but I can see that you have struggled through some sort of transition. Your spirit and willingness to be open and vulnerable has touched me (along with your sweet babies). ********Isn't it profound to think that those furry friends that had such a tough way to go before you met them can bring comfort to a person far away, that they never saw, even after passing. It is like they are angels sent to comfort me!!!!! WOW!
I also have rescue animals--i'm down to 2 dogs and 2 kittys now. My husband and I also shared much laughter and tears with ours.
Much thanks. ((())) Otie. My alcohol situation has to do with other family members.

Did I miss your share on your husband!? oh hon I am so sad for you! I sure know how it feels. I was insane for so long when mine died. I still miss him 30 years later.
We talk about all kinds of things on here, we are a family. Believe me there may be Al Anon skills that can help you deal with what is going on.
Please feel free to vent if you want to! There are so many people who would love to share their thoughts and support with you!
I hope you post. Can I do anything to help? love, debilyn
