Good news day and then....

My morning today was awesome! Talked with a really good friend of mine... she is always so hard to get a hold of.. and found out that I'm eligible for Gov't funding to go back to school... YAY!!! biggrin.gif

Then 1pm hits, knock at the door. It was the CAS worker, serving me with court papers.. looks like we are going to court next Thursday.

I was reading the affidavit from the one worker, and it brought tears to my eyes. It was all there in black in white. I think what hit me most was reading what the kids had to say. And sad to say, not one thing was a lie.

Needless to say, doesn't look good for AH. Who knows what's going to happen now? They want all sorts of things from him, and I already know that he's not going to agree to it. Well... guess what... that's his problem, not mine.
I'm taking care of everything I need to, and that's all that matters.

Hope you all had a good day smile.gif

Wow you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. It sounds like you are using your Al-anon tools in the midst of it and have a great attitude towards controlling what you can and letting the rest go. Keep taking care of you and your kids.

Nice that your morning went well.  But your afternoon did too!  The court papers bring you that much closer to your goal, right?

I know you'd most likely prefer that you husband would get his act together.  But so far, he hasn't chosen that route.  So you taking necessary action to take care of you and your children.  So receiving the court papers is enabling you to do so.

Yes, very true. Thanks to your both. I would like him to get better. Not for me, and not for our kids, but for himself. Only he can do that, and he know what he needs to do. I am no longer allowing this sickness to control and take over my life.

You are so right, allow him to own his own stuff! Remember one day at at time, we have no idea what is coming.

So I invite you to read your money for school note again, and think about how it felt to talk with your good friend!

Push away the disease trying to pull you into the pit! Don't allow it!

I am so happy for you girly girl! loved, debilyn

Pretty good detachment response Evian.   It doesn't look good and it feels sad and it is his.  I learned that myself.  It works when you work it.   ((((hugs)))) smile
