At 2:30 Sunday the phones and cable tv came back on....thankyou HP..my kids were about to drive me over the edge....lol. There was no damage to to my house and a quick rake of the yard was all that I needed to do. Power outages are spotty in the city with heavily wooded neighbor hoods catching the worst. Ironically there was so little rain here in my area I now need to water my lawn. Unfortunately, the south east part of the city , and all the way thru south western Louisiana caught the worst of it. As there was ample warning and an evacuation plan (that will be rethought out for the future) there has been little loss of life. Some of the powers that be are telling people to stay away for a few more days so that fuel, electricity, food and other staples can be brought into the area, others are saying come back, but this is what your going to face. So those who chose to leave are being allowed to decide for themselves....how very Al-Anon...lol. Thankyou for your prayers and your support, I would not have made it emotionally without my HP, this program and all of you. I do have a request, please continue to pray for those affected by Katrina and Rita and if you are able to offer support to a charity that is helping their victims please do so, many are still in need. Again thankyou.
Swolves, I assume you are in Houston, right? My brother lives in Plano (outside Dallas) and they lucked out also since Rita took a turn to the right and went into Arkansas instead of hovering over them. They didn't get any rain out of it at all, which is hard to believe. Glad to hear you're okay.
