Courage to Change - A Share

Hi Group!

Well I finally decided to get back to the basics.  I got out my Courage to Change book last night and started hi-liting the things that are the most helpful to me.

I was having a difficult time sleeping, hashing over the troubling events that occurred over the past week.  One of the quotes at the bottom really helped me get through this.

It was about gratitude.  It read how someone could go through the alphabet and think of something they were grateful for beginning with each letter.  I realize that I was smiling to myself in the dark thinking of all of the things that made me feel good.  Things that I was grateful to have.

I even thought of multiples for each letter.  It calmed me down and gave me a peaceful feeling that I needed.

Just wanted to share.  Thanks.

Thank you for sharing! I will try to remember that mental exercise the next time my thoughts begin falling into the murky abyss of anger and resentment.
