I am working at the state mental health facility in Myrtle Beach, SC.  I was talking to my supervisor who said.... I want you to start going to alanon meetings...  I told him I was well acquainted with alanon and had no problem with that and that I had been for personal reasons.  He said he had too and that it is very helpful in working with the population we are serving and not getting too attached... (I am working with the local homeless population).  I feel like I have gotten pretty good at refusing to take what's not mine but it certainly can't hurt... :) 

As for the kids...

Oldest is very happy in her therapeutic placement and is doing well so far.  I am hoping she will eventually come home but I also want her to be in the best situation for her and if that is living with someone else then so be it. 

Middle daughter was just moved to a new home and I fired the counseling agency that was working with us.  I filed a grievance with the agency and the local mental health entity that oversees all services in my area.  The agency violated her rights and her confidentiality and now she has a court case pending because of this.

My son is doing great and playing baseball.  I am finding support from friends and people in the community and all is well.

I started classes again last weekend and will be laid off in 2 weeks.  I'm kind of looking forward to it but scared at the same time. 

Hope all my friends here are doing well!

Good for you! I am so glad you finally found help for your girls. You tried so many things. I wonder if there is some kind of genetic problem Carolina?

Well you are giving them a chance to get well with the right help.

You sound very well. I am so glad. Son sounds good too! You my dear have come a long ways.

Ya I'm going with the gene theory... the boy has a different father and he's ok so far.... That's the it's not me defense... lol
