I attended my first Al-anon meeting last Tuesday. That particular group meets only once a week. So I decided to try another group meeting that meets on Friday nights at 8. Seems kinda late.
Does it matter what night meetings are on in terms of the number of attendees? I got to thinking that perhaps on Friday nights there are less members. Many might go out elsewhere.
What are your experiences with Friday night meetings? I'm going to go check it out. Just wondering........................ thanks in advance, Gail

From my experience it has never mattered how many members were in attendance. Members are always there to share their ES&H regardless of the number. At any meeting something you hear or something you share can be exactly what you or others needed to hear.
I have always heard......"Never miss an opportunity to take a nap". The same holds true for Al-Anon.
I love Friday night meetings. I have found open AA meeting to be most helpful as well in our area for which we are graced with tons of groups there is a AA/Alanon meeting where they have two speakers from each group tell their story. Although you may have found low attendance in some Friday night meetings, keep trying other groups. It is nice to see how other groups do it and to hear their diverse perspectives.
