i had vocational rehab interview at 0900 my time (pacific). it was nearly two hours long and the questions about my trauma were even more specific than in the social security interview. it brought back a LOT of bad stuff. The caseworker told me i had been doing all the right things :))
Unfortunately, the interview was too long for me to take the train and bus out to the ACS interview out in Tuilatin at 1230 so had to drive out there and stop to eat.
Once I got there i had to fill out a LONG application and take two pre-tests (I barely passed typing and nearly aced call center). The interview only lasted 10 minutes and I will know within two days. If I do get hired I will be legally obligated to take the job to keep state aid. i was there two hours too.
Another cousin (this one I like) called just after i finished and offered me the Plan B to go back to KC and I made it clear that it was only for an emergency.
So I had to drive downtown and pay for parking to make chiropractic appointment on time. Fitness tests: new benchmarks were agreed upon. Static back (partnered) 100 sec, made 63. Standup/sitdown 50 (new benchmark), made 50. Crunches: 36 (new benchmark).
Stopped by a nearby bar to have dinner...free pool if you buy a burger for $4. No way could I turn that down because I had so much frustration to work off! You lot know how much I enjoy playing pool :) The burger was terrific too.
So I'm back on NW 23rd usin paid time...again...and i'm sorely tempted to buy a cup of gelato...not a good sign.
Oh yes, the Love Rally was a 70's style party with a 90's style DJ scratchin it up. The Cincinnati authorities wouldn't have had a cow over it; they'd have had the whole herd!! Portlanders would have tole em "eat my shorts".
