WOW!!! Talk about HP's will....I got to see how unmanageable my life is again.

My life has become unmanageable...WOW!  What strong words and sooo true right now.  Last week I found out I am facing another surgery...number six, for a tumor growing in me.  It has to be removed as the Dr said it will continue to grow. Of course I was in shock...not again I thought...but yes again.

This week started with my check engine light coming on in my car Monday on the way to work (just got my car back from the mechanic two weeks ago). So I go to the auto store and they tell me after checking it on the computer, that I need a new catalytic converter at a cost of 163$.  Due to all kinds of training and testing I cant even get to a phone to call my mechanic so my SIL sets me up an appt to drop it off.

Thursday night I dropped off my car and my neighbor left me use hers.  As we were coming back from dropping of my car, she pulled into my back yard and got stuck...spun clear into the frame of the car and my son and I had to push her out.

I get up Friday, take my son to the bus, and go to the market for mom, and get a call from my neighbor who says i need to call the water company as he thinks there is a leak in my back yard where the car was stuck.

To make a long story short....I did have a water leak....how long i have had it, I don't know....could be a couple thousand dollar water bill when I get it...

The morale to the story....I was devasted when the check engine light came on in the car.......but it was all part of HP's plan....The check engine light led to me borrowing my neighbors car...which led to her getting stuck in my yard over the EXACT spot of the leak come to find out....which led to her breaking the frost line....which led to her husband seeing the leak the next morning and calling me....which led to the discovery of a water leak that could have been going on for months had none of this happened.....I mean really....what are the odds of my neighbor getting stuck over the EXACT spot of the leak, breaking the frost line and soaking the ground enough that my nephew could dig it up with a shovel and dig right to the spot of the leak?  We get our water bill every three months....so I'd have had no idea until I got an even more enourmous bill.

My nephew got the leak fixed (he is a good kid with a big heart) and what could have been a couple thousand dollar job, cost me nothing but parts...about twenty dollars.  I got a call to pick up my car the next day....it wasnt the catalytic converter but a vacumm hose off that caused the light to come on.

I'm still facing probably a big water bill but know my HP will take care of it, just like He did this time.

I realized after my week long melt down that my HP is there...even when I don't see how.....after all the dust settled I saw that each thing that happened, each event that I thought to be a tragedy....lead me to the next step and the next....that lead me right where HP needed me to be.

I don't always understand His will for me, and many times I fight it, turn it over and take it back, but in the end I know, and need to keep in mind, that my HP has a will for me and even if I dont understand it and it scares me....it's for my best.

Going to try my best to KISS and remember EASY DOES IT!

Thanks for letting me share
Shelly

Wow!  Way to work your program!  I am so impressed at your serenity in the face of all this.

I wanted to say also that when something like your water leak happened to me, the water company wrote off my bill for that time.  I'm sure all companies are different, but it's worth asking.

Your serenity is a model -- and your story is a true reminder of how the peace has to come from the inside, because the outside won't provide it.

Wishing you the best on your surgery and recovery.

(((shellyj))) Yes, HP does sometimes work in mysterious ways. I am so impressed at how you've managed to find the positive and keep your serenity through all these seemingly tragic events. Thanks for the inspiration. Best wishes on your surgery.

Nice job seeing the silver lining, that takes some good recovery on your part!

I'm sorry you are in for another surgery. HP will be right there with you, I am sure of that!

We had a large water bill from a leak once, and by proving we had a problem and rectified it, the city wrote off the excess.

Life on life's terms.. certainly not an easy thing, but just accepting and working through it one problem at a time is a whole lot easier than denial and fighting tooth and nail.

Thanks for sharing.

Lou
