Happy Holidays to you too, Shanda! I find each holiday becomes easier than the one before. New traditions are replacing the old, and things that seemed so awkward and wrong are now just part of what is. My sober/in recovery exAH asked if he could come share Christmas morning with us. While a part of me wants to push back and hold onto what was forced upon me , I accept the situation and can acknowledge that Christmas morning is primarily for the kids, and that it is entirely up to me to make it a peaceful and happy one. I am particulaly grateful to al-anon and everyone here at MIP for getting me here.
