Songs to relate to

This might seem like a weird post, but I think the people on here will understand. I have three songs that completely related to my experiences with my alcoholic. In some ways it is depressing, but if anyone has a chance to look them up and listen to the lyrics, I would be curious to know if you could relate to them too.

1. "A Reason for Me" by Hoobenstack...My theme song for when my AH was actively drinking and I was deperately trying to find ways to stop him. I used to listen to this in my car and cry. I wanted me and the kids to be the "reason" (years ago!).

2. "According to You" by Orianthi...my theme song for when I asked him to leave. I was so sick and tired of how I was being treated and this song helped me believe in myself (about 8 months ago).

3. "No Love" by Simple Plan. This unfortunately is my theme song now. After trying to make the marriage work, I can see progress in some areas. But unfortunately he is drinking again and I can see the progression back towards the hell my marriage once was. The lyrics to this song really hit home.

Anyways, curious to what others on the baord think.
Thanks

Hi! I LOVE music....I'm a huge music person person....There's always certain songs I listen to depending on how I feel. This year the song "Heartless" by The Fray really related to how I felt about the exA. The song "Hate Me" by Blue October is about someone who is an alc and actually my A once told me that's how he felt sometimes, that he wanted me to hate him so I could see what was good for me because he wasn't. Sometimes when I'm sad, I'll listen to "Mad World" by Gary Jules...sad song! I could really go on and on, there's LOTS of music out there.
Oh...one more...my favorite...Eminem..."Love the way you Lie" I feel that song totally relates to my exA and I, and I even told him that when we got back together for a short time this year.

Songs I have recently listed here hit home:

Christina Perri's Jar of Hearts.
Eminem's Love the way you lie.
Katy Perry's Firework (My uplifting song)
Broken by Seether (featuring Amy Lee)
Already Gone by Kelly Clarkson

I have to be really careful listening to sad songs though, so I usually don't anymore. It is a trigger for me and I fall back into my old patterns and disease...
