and sometimes age doesn't matter. Aloha MIP Family. I was with family of orgin last eveing for a Christmas potluck and gift swap and fun and it was...fun. Fun was the focus so cool. Our last get together wasn't as much fun especially for my 4 year old grandson who is sooo small and like a bug to his huge father and mom who have the need to keep him within boundaries so he was in pain then, crying uncontrolably, and soooo sad. So I did a little 12th step with him and went over and gave him a hug and asked him if he knew where happiness was and he didn't...he's only 4 and not a member of my fellowship or Alatot or anything. When he answered no Grampa I poked him gently in the tummy and said..."In there" and he laughed out loud. We practiced a couple of time and then his Dad arrived again and he started to cry...again and looked at me. I asked him the question..."Where is your happiness" and he poked his tummy and laughed out loud. That was months ago.
Last night he was happy and calm and my daughter and daughter in law were watching and pleased. I told them "watch this" and asked this little gem. "Ethan, where is your happiness?" He thought for only a half a second and then pointed to his insides and smiled the happiest smile he had available. My daughter laughed, "It's in his heart Dad." "Yep...Ethan knows that happiness is an inside job."
Last night was fun and happiness is truely an inside job. Practice, practice, practice.
Wow that is so cool! I love it! I will be using that with my kids too :) I love alatot... I wish there were a "Rage-ateen" for my kids to go to, having suffered through years of listening to my exhusband having his rage-aholic episodes... Thanks for the smile :)
