I was told in program, some days are like that, we get a little sad/down~ we are human after all! I was told that if I was never "down" that I could never appreciate it when I was in a happier place. Having add/adhd -- I was depressed a lot, it is a symptom of that condition. Dont beat you up about feeling low or wtvr -- know this too will pass and it is human (therfore - "normal" <that dreaded word!> to be down sometimes).
It is tricky to get out of worrying, when u slip back into it. The most effective thing I ever found for worrying (bc worry is a rocking chair - it gives u something to do but/and gets u no where. When an issue of concern comes into ur head - and as soon as u notice u are worrying or projecting (into future events - that ALWAYS created anxiety for me), redirect your mind, hand the thoughts over to you HP/god, god is looking out for our best interests and wants to see us acting in faith, practising this new reality. Of letting it go to god, being connected through conscious contact, practisiing being mindful in the right here and now - this moment is reality. --I so lived in my head with disturbing fantasies of doom/gloom and then all the other (various and romantic) fantasies that kept me preoccupied and distracted from being effective in my life in the present moment.
So ask you, the magic question: What can I do (or focus on) to allow me to feel better about myself or my life/situation?

Yep, we all have those moments/days. I remember the first time I heard that song - it was pretty gut-wrenching and hit places that hurt and rang so very true.
For me, when I have those times, there are recovery tools that I actually avoid. I don't go for a walk or meditate - because then I sit/walk and think MORE about those feelings. I get busy. I call a friend (who is positive). I find things to do that take my mind off of it and require me to think about something else. Accomplishing something - even just cleaning a room - something that is forward motion always makes me feel better.
You are still a phoenix - and I hadn't watched that video, when I first looked up that song it wasn't made yet. But I was just watching it and see all us girls (and our lovely AFG guys) dancing together in the background - supporting each other in our common bond.
Here is something I read in a blog I just love . . . keep in mind it is written by a man . . . which makes it even better. I haven't tried it yet, but think about it everytime I get the blues - but the kid is leaving today for 2 weeks over winter break - so I just might try it!!!
Exercise. You don't have to go to the gym. Put on some happy music and dance around the living room for 20 minutes every day (if you really, really want to feel better, I suggest getting out the vacuum cleaner, take off all your clothes, put on some high heels, crank up some old Motown and vacuum the living room. The combination of feeling naughty and silly and productive is powerful mojo against feeling terrible about yourself. I am 100% serious about this.)
I hope you feel better today. I am sending love, hugs, and good vibes your way. We are powerful women and together we can change the world by changing ourselves.
