Gads I was out fixing the bird feeders, did not latch the door, all of a sudden 8 dogs go storming past me. I got the big ones in but the 5 little idiots, ran a mile down my road to the busy road!
AND of course two people are just then taking their daily walk. I warn them my little monster dogs got out, the guy says oh they will come back when they are ready....geez. lol
I don't want my life to be without one of the dipsticks!Three of them are pretty brainless, two are smart, the pom and poodle. But the shi tzu/poodle/malteses, omgosh I have never had such dumb dogs. lol BUT they are always puppies and love to layin my bed with me and play.
eh!! I just put on my nice denim skirt and big warm whitish sweater. I drove down and got them. whew.
finish bird thing. took off my now not whitish sweater thru on a sweatshirt.
I mopped very thoroughly yesterday. )c: WAs not letting them go out today as it is pouring in Oregon. so the floor is well not a pretty site. sigh
typing along here I see torn up toilet paper, someone decided that would be fun so stole a roll and they are shredding it.
Got the fire going now, they are all wet and pooped out.
The dark blue mountain is poking up above some very white misty clouds, so pretty, its pretty dark and grey today.
I am so blessed to be here. So far AH's disease did not take our home.
Everyone has full tummies. Horses are fat as are Pammy the sheep and Campbell my llamaboy. Celie my baby piglet who ran outside, is busy with her tail going a mile a minute snooten in the wet grass. She has discovered how to get into the hay to snuggle in.
i AM SO GLAD THAT YOUR PUPPIES ARE BACK SAFE AND WARM. YOU ARE A MASTERFUL STORYTELLER !!! THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO INCLUDE MIP IN YOUR EVENTFUL LIFE
I FEEL AS IF i WAS RIGHT THERE WITH YOU AS YOU CAME OUT IN YOUR FLUFFY, PRETTY WHITE SWEATER AND DENIM SKIRT.
THE SEARCH WAS FUN AND THEN BACK HOME TO A WARM FIREPLACE, WELL FED HORSES AND PIGLETS AND PUGS , I THOUGHT I COULD REST AND WATCH THE BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAIN VIEW OTSIDE THE WINDOW, BUT NO . SOMEONE HAS CAPTURED A ROLL OF TOILET PAPER AND IS BUSY TOSSING IT ABOUT.
OH WELL i WILL BEGIN TO REST WHEN DEB TELLS ME WHY SHE WORE A WHITE SHIRT TO GET HER PUTS AND WHERE REEBA THE PARROT IS AND IF SHE IS CHASING ANYONE TODAY

Glad you were able to round up all your doggies We just lost our oldest dog Angel ( a shorty jack russell) we rescued her after she spent 10 yrs in a tiny cage outside through cold snowy winters and hot summers only to be taken out of her cage for breeding purposes and she was sort of sassy and apparently that got her regular beatings and her teeth kicked in. By the time we got her she had never touched grass, never been inside a home and never known th love of a human. She was such a frightened little mess. we worked with her for 2 years before she fully trusted us then she was totally devoted. Our vet had told us not to expect her to live long since she was used as a breeder apparently per the vet dogs lose 1 yr of life span for every litter they have but never the less even if she would only be with us a few weeks or months we were determined she would be loved. Well she last 7 yrs with us.... i think she finally found her promised land and she just wasnt going anywhere. She had been declining the past few weeks so we had been preparing for the worst, she didnt seem to be in pain so we decided unless she was in pain she would pass at home surrounded by love. And that she did, she died a few days ago as she was lying bedside me taking a nap on the chair. Ugh I thought i was ready but I just bawled my eyes out. I wrapped her in a blanket and just held and petted her till my husband got home from work, he took her to the vet for cremation and he cried as he had to hand her over. But we have 2 more rescue dogs that we also adore. One is a male wirehaired jack russell and this little guy will take off runnin every chance he gets, and he is a fast little sucker, we can chase him by foot but will never catch him as he waits till we get just close enough to grab him then runs again...a big game for him but seriously as smart as he is i honestly dont think he would find his way home. So we always just jump in our truck, catch up to him, open the door and he jumps right in...and he is always so excited that he has been on a big adventure lol. We would be lost if he got out and we couldn't find him. So glad you got all your babies back Blessings
lyndebi, your story had me laughing out loud. xeno, your story made me cry too. My two dogs are rescues and I love to hear of others who rescue animals. lyndebi, I know you go way above and beyond the call in that area... Like hotrod, I'm so glad you share the journey with us. PS- wet dog is one of my favorite smells, lol!
Love hearing the shares from dog lovers (aka suckers, me too!), to date I have owned one scruff JR cross (from 6 weeks to 17yrs), plus a rottweiler, plus an alsation cross - my lovely scruffy idiot dog died earlier this year - no more. Now, am living with my daughter who has a little Jack Russel, lunatic, anxious, needy soul - guess what, I have become chief dog walker, carer, feeder......
Not getting into the emotional blackmail again... but she is sweet, and does not ask for much......
