The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
I wanted to take a moment right now to share with this board my gratitude to each of you here sharing your ESH. The more I read the more I grow. Thank you to each of you for sharing things I might not always want to hear or recognize, for letting me know I am not alone and for being gentle with me. Today is a good day and each of you have been a part in making that happen.
(((((Clep))))) please keep coming back..you're family now; important, worthy, and a willing; a child of God just like every member of Al-Anon and MIP. You're doing good. (((((hugs)))))
MIP is a place for us to let it all out. Our feelings situations. It is a sharing place.
It is NOT a critical, judgemental place. When we share we don't think any less of the sharer or the A in their life.
It is a public forum.
I am guessing you feel it is an invasion of your privacy. My first thought was, however, he now maybe will understand how you are feeling inside.
Al Anons purpose or one of them is for us to not allow the disease to make us sick, or to help us out of being so sick. It does not mean the person who is A is making us sick.
They don't choose to be A. It has to be a very hard place to be.
I hope your A did not feel hurt by comments or the fact you share, which is your right.
In a way this is a perfect example how we need to take care of ourselves and not get into anyone elses inventory. Which is what our A's do if then sneak in and read our shares. Same as if we look for their drugs, guess if they are using or not.
As individuals we have rights to privacy and rights to make our own decisions. If it affects another then they have to decide if they want to be part of our lives or not.
Same as us with anyone A or not. I for instance could not handle that a dear friend of mine lied and stole someones cows. It was her choice, I don't judge, but I ended the friendship.
I sure hope you keep coming, you are important to the board!
