Hi, Carol, here, alanon member.

I have been coming to online alanon for a little over a year now and would like to lead meetings, however I understand there are criteria for me to meet first.

I think I heard about having to do face to face for six months?  I've done that.  Been online for six months, but not registered for six months.

So, this leaves me kind of with my hands tied.

I understand ops are needed and I come here at least on weekends.

Sometimes I come and there's no op and op's do deserve very much days off sometimes!

Sooooo.

Think I have asked this before.  Can a member lead without being an op?

I would like to if I come on and keri or casa or courage are not there.

On this board you will see the name JOHN , email or send him a message and he will arrange some training for you . you qualify . real f2f meetings and online .. Louise

Actually anyone can lead or start a meeting in the chat room whenever 2 or more people are present...It doesn't even have to be a meeting time. Sometimes we need a meeting inbetween our meeting times.
Just start with the Serenity Prayer, get some topics and go for it
Our next business meeting I believe is Dec 5th ( not sure of the time where you are) please join us and volunteer.
