I talked to Tim's Dad yesterday. It's always a bit bittersweet as he sounds just like his son. I was asking about Tim's favorite aunt (mine too), Aunt Linda. Well she's not doing so good. She fell and broke her hip and last week she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. This breaks my heart. She has had such a hard life. She lost her home in the flood several years ago. She was too paralyzed with fear to try and save anything. She just stood there until her neighbor came and got her out. She has lost a husband, was an abused wife and then buried her favorite nephew (Tim).
I remember when I first met her, she was so full of life. Just took me in her arms and made me feel like part of the family. After Tim passed she would send me notes reassuring me that he was in a good place, and looking down on us. She would tell me how she felt when she buried her husband, who was the great love of her life. She would always ask me to send her pictures of Pipers. She reminded me that Tim loved me, and he knew how much I loved him. She seemed to sense when I would question that.
Through this all her love of her faith, and comittment to it has been unwavering, like Tim's Dad. At times I have been amazed by this. So if you would please, send her some love & prayers to her and her family. I know she is getting great care, but a few more prayers wouldn't hurt. Thank you. Much love and blessings to you and your families.
Live strong, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty
