There are so very many.  But - if we go with the very first thing I thought . . . this is it.

Driving through San Francisco with my daughter and 2 friends in the back.  Just finished watching Harry Potter 3D at IMAX and they all have their big 3D glasses on.  Windows down, this song blasting, they are all singing at the top of their lungs.  People are waving from the sidewalks, the hotel taxi guy smiles and blows his whistle.

One of the best moments of my life.  I dance, sing, and smile everytime I hear it.

Ok - this is a VERY close second.  This CD stayed in my car while I was taking care of my late A.  He was dying of lung cancer.  I was his caretaker and it was a hour commute for my daughter and I to his 40 acre ranch.  The drive was through Dry Creek (yes, where a lot fo wine comes from in Northern Cal).  He was completely off the grid.  No electricity and it was literally a mile down to the water pump.  Chopped and stacked more wood than I care to remember because that is how we heated the house.

This song would carry us to and from his house - through miles of country and many tears as I lived one of the most physically and emotionally challenging times of my life.  But it was so clear and meaningful.  No lies, manipulation, confusing stuff.  It is amazing how much "small stuff" there is to let go of at the end of ones life.  Everything was beautiful.

I'd have a hard time coming up with one song at the moment but two of my favorite artists, Rush and Steve Vai, always appealed to me because of the overall positivity and fun they seem to convey.  One example below, STeve Vai....

There's a million but I always love to hear this one.
Life Is A Highway  by Tom Cochrane

Yankees, my son is a Vai fan too.  He even has a GEM.  Beautiful guitar.

"I Love Myself Today" by Bif Naked.  I've nicknamed it the self esteem song.

Although the song is about a breakup, there are some lines in the chorus that just lift me up:

I love myself today
Not like yesterday
I'm cool, I'm calm
I'm gonna be okay! Uh huh
I love myself today
Not like yesterday
Take another look at me now
............

I'm lookin' in the mirror and I like what I see:
I've lost the fear & the horror that's been eating at me

One of my faves is: SWEET FREEDOM by MICHAEL MACDONALD.
It is  a song from a movie.  I don't remember the title but it has Billy
Crystal & the late-Gregory Hines in it. For those who don't remember
Gregory Hines--he was a dancer & actor & was in the movie White
Nights.
Just about any upbeat song from the 80's makes me MOVE
as well.
