I have great news to share with you all. I came to this website a couple of months ago and explained there is no Al Anon where I live.So great news, I am getting one started here in Lusaka, Zambia, Africa.I am just so excited.The first meeting will be Friday 5th November.We have support from Al Anon South Africa who are handling Al Anon into Africa.Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we get off the ground. And thanks to you all for being here and all the links and advice I have been sent here that has helped me to get where I am.From being totally new to Al Anon to starting a group where there has not been a group to the best of my knowledge is a great and exciting journey.Just wanted to share with you.Won't be on line for a while so apologies if I delay.If any requests come infor information please direct them to Al Anon, South Africa and we can pick up the info from there.
Fantastic , it will be nice to see your countries Flag flying in the 2013 parade of nations -- we have an International convention every 5 yrs and the next one is in Vancouver British Columbia Canada, fourty miles from my house . I havent missed one yet so hopfully will see you there . Louise
How awesome a 12th step is that? Meg T going to her own meeting and having others there also!! I'm in support and praying for you and the new membership. Some of us may have ESH about the wonder of starting new meetings and how it goes over time so stay connected and let us know what the meeting name is that the group selects. Yay!!! (((((hugs)))))
Thanks for all the support. The really crazy and wondeful thing is I haven't even got to the 12th Step yet I am only on step 8 but am going back to the beginning.LOL.I have support from another Al Anon in Zambia who I came to meet yesterday(Thanks HP) and also Al Anon in South Africa who have sent information and are supporting us as we go along. I will defnitely be asking you all for help as I go along.
