Unfortunatley that happens once in a while , we have had many impromtu meetings in the room , a few times I have chaired one just type in the serenity prayer and your off , pick alanon related topics ask someone to help when the new people arrive * announce that there is a meeting going on and what the topics are * use the same method for calling on people to share ! . voila you got a meeting . I believe we agreed to go ahead and hold an informal impromptu meeting when no op is available. I'm sorry you were disappointed.

I read frequent appeals here on MIP for the need for ops. Perhaps you could consider volunteering?

Where ever two or more Al-Anon members gather together for mutual aid..you can have a meeting!! smile

Anytime. Anywhere. Just like Abbyal said it can be very "informal" as to the opening and closing details, just have a meeting!

And we have had them in the chat room at "non scheduled" times as well, just because someone asked to have one.

wp, I arrived late to the meeting, so I didn't know about any "agreement".

ty, everyone for telling me anyone can have a meeting.

I just hope that if I do begin a meeting that no one goes, "Carol, you have to be an op."
