Yesterday I felt icky. But part of my stress is the dang cats keep coming in the doggy door. I have HORRIBLE cats. Imagine the worst manners...
I have to have a doggy door with 8 dogs, a baby piglet and patagonian cavy who use it.Goes out to a big area full of chips.
Anyway those little stresses, when a person does not feel well, build up. So in my nightdress as soon as I got up, grabbed my needle nosed pliars and lined the cyclone fence with chicken wire. Then I began to attach it to the end of the kennel area. I ran out of wire 100 feet. BUT got almost the whole top on the end.
I was tired, sweat running down my face, in pain. But was glad I got started! now I need to weave the top lenghts together. they are 4 feet wide. Then attach them to my house. Had to do it so I can get in there to clean it.
I placed a cute pot pig rescue to a great home. Sold all my chickens but a couple hens who run all over and kept one tiny white silkie rooster....I just cannot handle the stress of this darn cat getting chicks and small chickens. Or my puppies chasing them till they die of fright. I can train one at a time but 4 forget it. A dog pack is a pack. period. Rather love and enjoy my dogs.
Anyway the next morn at day light, my ONE tiny tiny white rooster is at MY slider door, open crowing his little beak off! OMG. of all the endless acreage he has to be right there!
sigh. I just cannot have a place and not have a rooster...
Anyway it is colder now, the sulcata tortoises have to have a warm room. So got it all mucked out and ready. (o: They are HUGE over 100 pounds of bolder/rototillers with legs. Fred and Jefferey. So I gotta hang the uvb uva light and figure out how to put a heater in there. Then gotta seal it before winter.
Felt good to get those two chores going yesterday. Now my right hip is yelling at me.
I am doing my best to be ok. Getting those stressors I can control fixed help immensely. Pony has a home, they should pick him up this week end. so that means all the extras or placeables will have forever homes. As for the dumped kitten, it went next door.
As far as feeling good, a little bit of feeling love is coming back. my emotions are calmer again, not reacting.

I got the torts lights hung, room full of hay. My helpers put the giants on a cart one at a time, brought them to my living room, then scooted them out the back door to their new outside home. They are happy.
I am not happy they are in there where they can get out of the weather. I layed in bed when I felt the temp go below sixty and felt so guilty!
Even was able to stop the leak in the corner where the past dumb renters burnt a hole in it.
I cannot sleep. We were all cuddled but my tummy would not stop. so got up and fed everyone. yes a midnight snackie, my sheep was pretty impressed.
as I type i have dog eyes on me. what are we doing up mom? I have NO idea why they get up with me...
yes rora I am blessed with these guys. I was thinking if I ever do lose my place, how I would fit us all in an rv. Yu can bet i would do it too.
Just wanted to say Bless You for taking care of all those animals...you are an angel
I have 3 rescue dogs who were severly abused and neglected and we worked with them endlessly to gain their trust. Now we have the 3 most loving and loyal dogs you could ask for.
If I had the acreage My dream would be to open a rescue shelter for animals. Unfortunaly thats never going to happen so I must be content with the animals I have saved. God Bless you !
