The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
It's been a great summer, just working and being lazy and now it's almost over.
Full time hours, 12 credits and moving the business to a new location ... all by January LOL What the heck was I thinking? I am really not projecting but am facing and accepting reality that my time for next 5 months is no longer mine. My AlAnon program is going to suffer along with my sleep.
I have to use the PC monitor for all reading because I am legally blind, it gets hard sometimes after all the rest to add AlAnon literature on top of that so I have been searching thru the National Library for the Blind, school resources and my audio public library system but I am not finding anything for daily readings, "How AlAnon Works" or any other source that would have the steps, slogans, principles, traditions etc in audio format. If anyone has any ideas that are no to low cost since I just blew my savings on textbooks (UGH) please let me know.
I will be here as much as possible and want you all to know how much I will miss you when I am not. And when I am wanting to change my name and run away (probably around the beginning of Dec) please remind me to eat and sleep
Oh your gonna be busy girl , have u contacted WSO we do have audio books available I am not sure which ones but email and ask also check out the sites for tapes of speakers etc . also some on step study groups etc . good luck .
There are approximately 21 audio podcasts of various Al-Anon topics you can listen to-just press play; most are 10-20 minutes long. And it's free. Hope this helps.
Having nothing to suggest beyond what you already have other than gonna miss you. I am also partially blind...at times thats a handicap and at other times just a bother and at other times something I practice acceptance on. Hope to see you here. (((hugs)))
