Please Keep My Best Friends Wife In Your Prayers

(((To All MIP Members)))

My best friends wife just found out today she has stomach cancer. Gerald is one of the reasons I got in the Al-Anon program. He has been sober for almost 4 years. He and his wife are wonderful people. I was told years ago by someone I had tremendous respect for that if you can go through life and fill up one hand with true friends then you have had a successful life. I believe that to be true. I have been very fortunate because I can fill up a few fingers more than one hand with true friends who have stuck with me and me with them through thick and thin over the years. Gerald and his wife Patricia are two of the friends that fill up my first hand. For that I have always felt very blessed.

Gerald knows I am a member of MIP and I have told him about the wonderful members who share their ES&H freely on this board. When I told him I would keep and hold Patricia in my prayers he asked me if I would post on the MIP board and ask for your prayers also. I told him that he didn't have to ask....it was already in my plans.
