I AM VERY HAPPY TO REPORT THAT I AM ATTENDING A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR A FORMER HIGHLY-DECORATED WWII VETERAN. IT WILL BE A VERY HUGE CELEBRATION OF LIFE IN MY HOMETOWN TOMORROW. I FEEL HONORED TO ATTEND THIS. HE GOT THE CONGRESSIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR FROM A FORMER PRESIDENT IN THE 90'S & I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN TODAY & ALWAYS. I HOPE THIS IS OK TO MENTION. I KNOW THAT SOME OF YOU AREN'T FROM AMERICA. I HOPE YOU ARE A PROUD MEMBER OF WHATEVER COUNTRY YOU LIVE IN. PEACE TO ALL OF YOU! KATHLEEN
Certainly it is O.K. to mention a soldier that won the Congressional Metal of Honor......The highest honor awarded in our military....only 3,600 plus metals have been awarded since 1862.....were it not for our brave courageous soldiers like him and others we would not be speaking English today.
I am very glad that you did mention it. There is nothing more honorable than serving your country here or in other parts of our world. The brave men & women along with their families make sacrifices so that this world can be a safe place to live. It does not go unnoticed. Many of my family served this country including my beloved Tim. Blessings to his family and for you mentioning it.
Live strong, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty
