Aloha Family...I've got another opportunity to talk with a local representative
regarding a legislative proposal I've mentioned before that seeks fairness,
honesty and justice on the issues regarding alcohol in my small community.
I've been at this for a while and like I've been taught in Al-Anon always go
at it with the first step awareness that I am powerless without allowing my
life to be unmanagable from the effort.  I do what I know and what I can cause
if I don't I feel like standing in the "Oh! It's okay" group.  This is far from Okay.

I'm praying for guidance and direction and enlightenment and willingly volunteering
as just one instrument of HP's peace.  When you find an opportunity, say a
prayer however you pray, for those who are taking a higher level of envolvement.
My homeland needs change sooooo badly.  We have such a terrible illness just
like the rest of you.  I will pray for you as I go out and us that whatever miracle
is due for the suffering alcoholic and their families arrives sooner than later. Just
in DUI's on one island the count has exceeded 815 in the first 6.5 months and
this is not counting the other alcohol related events.   I don't ask why...I know
why and that is what I am taking out the door this morning to a local legislator
who will listen. 

God...Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.  The courage
to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.  By myself
I can change very little but with the help of others much more.   I'll be home
for lunch and will come listen...Aloha no kakou....(((((hugs)))))
