I am humbled and grateful again...

for ((((all of you)))) who responded to Honesty always.  Each of you had something to
act on and support.  I have to read and re-read slowly because if I read it with only
"me" in mind I miss the wisdom.  I am slowing down on the decision and am standing
behind not ahead of my HP on this.  The "Personal" letter is asking for more consideration
and thought as it is unique...heart to heart and stands within the spiritual awareness
HP to Jerry F, "Love is the absence of fear".  If I had not been afraid of what to do I
would not have posted...I believe you all know that...profound.   Patience again because
some of the emotions and thoughts I am experiencing after reading your responses have
surfaced.  You pulled the veil further back from covering up honesty...so patience and
Love.   LOL I am reminded again (over and over) that I am male...an analytical...always
always up in my head so that my heart doesn't get to participate and when it does I get
to experience what the women here and in Al-Anon have always led me to "my female
side" which is such very shakey ground...my first thru eleventh response to it is "Thanks
I'd rather not" and then the twelfth the "spiritual awakening" can only come after my
head and heart combine.    I will be patient and reread and listen upward before re-acting
with Love and Honesty.

He is not my blood brother...he is my recovery brother; therefore it was a relationship
of choice and mutual trust and effort to support peace of mind and serenity...much like
what we do here.

You are simply the best, Jerry.... I know there is no scorecard, and it is not a contest.... but if we were keeping score, you'd surely be on the top of the heap (in a good way!).  Your contributions on here are always greatly appreciated, and it's part of our growth to help our brother (you) on those occasions where you are looking for the "power of we"....

Take care
Tom

I agree with Tom and Gail! :)

Good for you for being slow and methodical, examining motives, considering what you would say in a letter, and really taking the time to pray and meditate instead of making a snap decision. Such a marvelous example of tons of tools at work!

I'm still workin on impulse control - sometimes I just can't wait a day to make a decision, and I feel like I need a plan and I needed to get started with it yesterday. That's just years of dysfunction at work, though. A good friend reminded me that sometimes, not making a decision IS making a decision. There was no harm with saying that today, I don't have to decide. Tomorrow I can reevaluate.

Prayers and peace -

Summer

(((Jerry))),

I make it a point to never disagree with Tom.no   I have always joked that women are always right, even when we're wrong! wink Having said that, each & everyone here has value in their opinion & ESH.  To that I love you all.  I can always count on any number of my family here to kick my butt when I need it, love me when I am at my lowest and certainly laugh just because.  As a woman having the man's perspective is most valuable to me.  You like everyone else here is a treasure.  It makes the most lucky person in the world.  Much love and blessings to you and your family.

Live strong,
Karilynn & Pipers Kitty aww
