The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
When I was at the family week at rehab for my AH, the counselors were talking about us family members and made a statement about us being "f.i.n.e. " and each letter stood for something. Do any of you know what they stand for, I can't remember? I really wanted to write them down to remind me...
I heard that one at one of my first conventions as well, and it always made me smile.... I think, as a society, we use that "fine" as such a generic response when somebody asks us how we are doing.... I guess the point, in Al-Anon, is we are supposed to practice self-honesty (with ourselves and others), and tell people how we are REALLY feeling....

Frustrated. Insecure, Neurotic, and Emotional (that's the PG version - there is another "F" word that can be substituted :)
