Thanks so much for your reply below and the nice welcome back :) My dad also has parkinsons. I am sorry your father-in-law was diagnosed with it too. It actually is a hard disease to diagnose but it does fit into the category of movement disorders. If a person gets it older in age it doesn't seem to progress as fast etc. I am not sure how old your father-in-law is but my dad developed it around 70. His medications help alot so he doesn't shake so bad like others but it still affects the internal organs that are not seen. That is why his bronchitis now is so life threatening. I almost had to call 911 2 nights ago when he went into a coughing spell at night because the parkinsons makes it difficult to get the phlegm out. The poor guy thought he was a gonner :( The muscles won't get the mucous out etc. There are such good medications for parkinson's now a days too. Again, I am sorry he was diagnosed with this disease. I have bronchitis now too after just getting back from the doctor so I may not be online much until I rest and get over it. I have a suppressed immune system myself and catch things easily. I hope to see you soon online. If, not I will check back here at the message board. your friend, cdb :)
