Healthy distractions...

I won't rub it in promise and this is the season and the weekend for the Merrie
Monarch (actually the nick name of a prior King...Kalakaua) who insisted on
the arts of music and hula and so in his honor every year we have a 4 day
competition of hula studios from around the planet who come and present
their hulas and get honored for their art work.  The real competition is for and
with men and women of heritage but we get to watch sudios from Japan and
Tahiti and various other places do some really great dancing.

I am attaching a link where you can sit back, relax, forget the disease for
awhile and enjoy something very different.  For me I watch these hulas and
hold my breath because of the spiritual value and affect it has had on me
since birth.

This hula which is danced in honor of elders past and present and elders who
were and are healers is incredible because its portrayal is so easy to understand
regardless of who you are and where you come from.  I hope you enjoy it and
can get it.  This gal came in 2nd in the Miss Aloha Hula single competition the
one who came in first is also here...wearing lavender skirt under a white top
and white bloomers.  The bloomers signify hulas during a more modern era
and in favor of the royalty.   http://tinyurl.com/y64hgkn

Sit back and Let go and Let God because I believe HP has a hand in this.

(((((hugs))))) smile

(((Jerry))),

Thank you for sharing !

Hawaii means so much to me because my Mom (who died young at 63) LOVED Hawaii.  She was able to go twice in her lifetime before she died and it made her so happy.

Some day I want to go to Hawaii and I know I will feel my Mom's presence.

in recovery,
Maria

  Mahalo Jerry,

I enjoyed that so much. I love Hawaii and have been there so many times and I hear it calling me.

So much culture and healing in one competition.

Thanks again. Bettina

promised our pups who are always in the kitchen looking for snacks that I
would write and perform and "kitchen" kahiko for them including going to
the refrigerator...doing the mircowave and stove and general "food" move
ments.  I may now just do it for grins...Of course I will check it out with HP
