AH checked himself in last night for a voluntary three day hold to get help. I do not know if he did it to quit drinking or to prevent another suicide attempt. I was not home and he sought out his son to assist him. As a result, I have no idea what to expect. I am planning to move out and am fearful that they are going to call me and request me to come in for counseling or something.
Can anyone tell me what services they provide during such interventions and what happens when he gets released. He is not aware I will not be here when he gets home.
A cat nip, my x ah has done quite a few stays at rehab, usually 3 days they are detoxing him. they just released him and would refer A to a counselor, because Kaiser in Calif. has a great program. It depends on the programs. He also had a daytime program he went to for a month, because a counselor recommended it. There they offered counseling to me if I wanted it. So, its all different. Nothing is forced on you.
Perhaps if they offer it , you should go, but just being there for 3 days, I dont think so.
