tough morning

ex ABF showed up to a work event with his pregnant wife last night and i feel so low because of it.

my apartment is a mess and i have no time to clean until tomorrow after my meeting and i feel so guilty about it.

there's so much to do at the office, i'm overwhelmed.

i was crying this morning already and i'm reaching out to my HP, but i cannot seem to connect with it.

pray for me this morning.

thanks so much,
-x

Please just stay in the now and use" Let Go and Let God "to get thru  the day

(( xter )) Focus on what u can do today, right now.  Make a list and prioritize the order.  When I was overwehlemd, I was told to think about what can I do for 15 minutes at a time and chunk away at my list like that.

Not sure why u feel guilty about the house being messy, the chores dont go anywhere, give YOU a break.

So true about the household chores, they will always be there so don't you worry about them, take it in small steps today, have a shower or bath and work on you.

You got the prayers Xter.  Over whelmed...God to think I was whelmed enough
and arrived at being Over...whelmed like I needed to act masochistic!!  I know
where you are at and it sucks.  A good slogan that worked for me was "This too
will pass" (truth) it could not last for ever and never had in the past when I was
there before.  Enablers just love coming back to chaos and crises until we
surrender completely.  One of the old crying lessons was; Cry...cry somemore...
cry even somemore...talk to sponsor or someone in program and cry and then
smile a little bit and then cry some more and smile and then cry and smile and
then smile and then smile somemore and then laugh out loud.  That is the way
it's always happend when I was a newbie.   After some time in program very
little had the power to make me cry over it when it didn't come along my way.
"How important is it" became a great slogan then along with "God doesn't
give me anything I cannot handle with God's help."   Morning's over...now what?

In support (((((hugs))))) smile

((xter)),

It gets better, it really does. Yes, crying helps, especially the loud gut-wretching kind.

Know that you are not alone.

Praying for you...

Lou

What a difficult time.  I know I always felt less than for years until al anon finally kicked in.  None of us are perfect.

Detaching is extremely hard work.  I had to practice for a long long time before I really saw benefits.
