unconsciously alanon

My kids and I were sitting, waiting at a resturant. The waiter came over and said "Hi, my name is Mike and I am your waiter." My two alateens and I said "Hi Mike." and then waited in anticipation for him to begin his "story" LOL!!! A couple of seconds ticked by before the kids and I realized that he wasn't going to bring up a topic and he was just staring at us waiting for our order...LOL!!!

This program really does seep into our very beings....

That did make me smile, Freeagain. And I sure need something to make me smile. My Father passed away on Saturday night (a release from a long illness and he would have been 89 next month). So - what with that and problems with AH, It was nice to hear a funny story.

Free-
At least you and your kids didn't ask him if he was a newcomer.....that would have really messed with is head biggrin.

Thanks for the funny story. It reminds me a bit of something I posted a while ago. I dreamt that for some reason going to the bathroom was breaking annoymity. What made it weirder (if you can believe anything can be weirder than that) was that Indiana Jones came to my rescuse to help me. Too much alanon lol.

Yours in recovery,
Mandy
