"The Triangle Effect"

A lady in my Tuesday f2f Group gave an anology I had never heard before. But, it really hit home with me.

She said she told her A husband that they suffered from "The Triangle Effect"----She loved him---- He loved Alcohol----And Alcohol didn't love either one of them.

I don't think anyone could argue with her anology. It doesn't matter if we want to admit it or not, if we love an active alcoholic we suffer from "The Triangle Effect". Serenity can only come from acceptance, detachment, and "Always Taking Care Of Yourself First". Only my thoughts.

HUGS,
RLC

I've never heard that before but will definitely remember it.  It's so true!

¨Only my thoughts.¨
But good thoughts they are! Hit home with me too. Thanks for sharing this one.

Wow RLC...that header jolted me until I read your post.  Wheeeew my old stinking
thinking associated it with one of my TV pastimes watching cage fighting (not all
things are changed overnight and I use to behave that way).  My feeble mind
read Triangle and changed Effect to something else which is not a recommended
way of subduing an alcoholic.   LOL.  I'm making an appointment for more shock
treatment just after my ice bath.   Carry on.  Good Post.   (((((hugs))))) smile
