Hi Family,

I just finished reading "When Love is Not Enough - The Lois Wilson Story" this morning.

In it mention is made of the Stepping Stones Foundation that was created near the end of her life to provide for, among other things, the preservation of the home she and Bill shared which they called Stepping Stones.

There is a web site for this foundation which I have spent the last hour exploring.  It has wonderful pictures and history about the place and the founders of AA and Al-Anon.

There is even a couple of short audio pieces where you can hear Bill and Lois speak.

I have to tell you when I listened to short part of a speech that Lois gave in 1976 her words nailed me to the wall this morning 34 years later.

She talked about Self Righteousness.  It was something I reaaallllyyy needed to hear today. smile

I love my HP the way He works and teaches me. 

I am so grateful to Him for the gift of recovery He offered to this world.  And I am still so very awed that Bill, Dr. Bob, Lois and Anne put this gift out here for all of us in the form of the 12 steps and the Programs of Alcoholics Anonymous and the Al-Anon Family Groups.

David62, Thank you so much for sharing that with us. I listened to the audio clips of both Bill and Lois. I didnt know about the book either, so Im going to be looking for that too. I have been really looking forward to the movie of her life thats supposed to be on April 25th. Again ty fo sharing :)

thank you very much.  I do believe one of the reasons that I came back to al anon was that I read a biography of our founder and fell in love.
